Taking care of six kids is a full-time job, but Adam and Danielle Busby manage to do it while also maintaining their careers. Mom Danielle is a stay-at-home mom to 8-year-old daughter Blayke and 4-year-old quintuplets Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley, and Parker. But she also recently started a fitness clothing business with her twin sisters Crystal and Ashely. And dad Adam also has his hands full with his career.
Adam has had his current job for more than a decade

Adam Busby currently works as a key account manager for Intrinsic Solutions/Sprint Safety, according to his LinkedIn profile. It’s a job he’s held since December 2006. Intrinsic Solutions is a “specialty short service communications and communications service provider,” according to the company’s LinkedIn page. It was acquired by Sprint Safety in 2014.
Busby doesn’t provide any additional details about his job on his LinkedIn. But a key account manager is typically responsible for managing and maintaining a business’s most important customer relationships. The average key account manager earns $72,440 a year, according to PayScale, though those with more experience earn more. The top 10% of experienced key account managers earn more than $120,000 a year, on average.
Some OutDaughtered fans have speculated that Busby has given up his full-time job to focus on his family’s TLC show and their YouTube channel, which currently has more 800,000 subscribers. But in a tweet from last October, he clarified that he “didn’t quit my job for YouTube,” adding that it “is only a small thing that I do.”
Adam and Danielle actually met at work

The Busby’s love story actually began at work. In 2003, the two were both working at a Target store. But it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, as Danielle shared on the family’s website It’s a Buzz World. They’d been working side by side for months before Adam got up the courage to approach Danielle. Initially, Adam’s attempts at flirtation didn’t go over well.
“The first words out of his mouth were ‘hey beautiful.’ My thoughts at first were… ‘oh wow! You never talk to me and now your trying to hit on me….real smooth,’” she wrote.
Despite Adam’s awkward opening line, the two started eating lunch together. Eventually, Adam asked Danielle out on a date after work — but he ditched her to hang out with his friends. Surprisingly, Danielle gave him a second chance, only to discover that the rescheduled date was actually a birthday dinner for his sister. Still, something about him charmed Danielle and the two became a couple, and 2½ years later, he proposed. And the rest is reality TV history.
OutDaughtered Season 4 premieres Tuesday, June 11 at 9/8c on TLC.
